Soul on Fire
Land Yoga Teacher Training
IT’S COMING…SPRING 2027
become a
yoga teacher…
deepen
your practice…
with the spirit
of summer camp…
in beautiful
chilliwack, bc.
Set your soul on fire.
Somewhere along the way, after making “right” decision after right decision, things became a little…dull. Routine set in, responsibility took over, and life is…fine, but not fine?
We need a few disruptors along our path. Moments that stick out where we did THE thing, took the risk, booked the trip, learned something new, disrupted the pattern, took a turn, took a pivot, remembered who we were meant to be, remembered who we are.
THIS is one of those moments. THIS is one of those disruptors.
Soul on Fire is an 12-week, 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training built in the spirit of summer camp. It's a season set aside for you — to study the practice deeply, to reflect on your purpose, and to spend your time with people who love what you love. It will ask a lot of you. You will also never be the same.
Beginning March 12th, 2027
Early Bird Pricing on until Dec 15th
Only 15 spots available
This is for you if:
you love yoga and feel called to share it with others
you want to deepen your own personal relationship with yoga
you need a disruptor in life and yoga lights you up
you love learning and growing, spiritually and physically
you’re curious about a new life path and yoga has deeply impacted you
you’re ready to set your soul on fire
Surrounded by mountains,
with a studio that sits right on the river.
Most of your 200 hours will happen in the studio, because that's where the real learning happens. But a few moments along the way are designed to take you outside of it — and they tend to be the ones that stick with you for years.
At camp, you set time aside. You stepped away from regular life, and for a stretch of time, everything felt possible. And what you learned stuck, not because of the info, but because of the feeling. Something about a new environment, new people, and time to go deep…these things stay with you for years to come.
Why is the training built in the spirit of summer camp? ❊
Fireside Sessions
We’ll haul a bundle of wood down to the river and have a couple of our philosophy sessions around a crackling fire.

Training,
with the best of the best.
Your lead trainer, Peter Elmas, has guided over 20+ teacher trainings, with 120+ students from all walks of life. Along with co-facilitators and Land teachers, Britt Zurowski , Gabi Rocha, and Taylor Logan, you’ll not only learn how to share yoga, but you’ll be guided through your own transformation as the teachings of yoga go deep and personal. Take this rare opportunity to study with Peter in Chilliwack.
Peter Elmas
Peter has been walking the Yogi’s Path for over 20 years – as a student, practitioner, and teacher - and has a deep passion for this powerful lifestyle. From his first experiences with asana, pranayama, and meditation, he knew that Yoga would be his Way. His main goal is to share his passion and this practice that has transformed him profoundly with as many people as possible. Peter considers the practices of Yoga to be medicine and is a stand for delivering the teachings and practices in a way that is personal and personalized.
Peter’s path has been paved by the grace of his Guru, Ram Dass, to whom he is eternally grateful. Peter began his yoga journey immersed in both the Ashtanga Vinyasa and Sivananda traditions, where he was first authorized to teach by Swami Govindananda. Today, Peter is primarily a student of the Krishnamacharya yoga lineage and continues to study with his teachers Ryan Leier and Srivatsa Ramaswami.
Britt Zurowski
Britt is a mother, forever student, and Yoga and Meditation Teacher in the Fraser Valley.
She works with children, aging bodies, and women in yoga, circles and retreats. Creating spaces to soften, explore, laugh, rest, and feel more at home in themselves. Her teaching is gentle and playful, grounded in choice, curiosity, mindfulness.
Britt is drawn to a rest lense of yoga to connect including Yin Yoga, restorative, breath work, meditation, and stillness. She believes in how the body holds wisdom that can grow quiet when life gets loud.
Training with Frik-Shuhn Yoga, Cosmic Kids Yoga, Coast Flow Yoga, hOMe Yoga and ongoing study with the Lab of Meditation, alongside her exploration of Buddhist and Yogic traditions. Motherhood, community, aging, and life continue to shape how she holds space.
Britt offers a grounded, welcoming, and often silly presence. Her invitation is simple: slow down, breathe, get curious, and remember that your body has been trying to tell you something all along.
Gabi Rocha
Gabriela began her yoga journey over a decade ago in Brazil, practicing Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. In 2020, she pursued her passion at Karma Teachers Yoga Institute in Vancouver, BC, training under mentors Peter Elmas, Lucy St John, and Niki Inglis to earn her RYT-200 certification. There, she explored Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Pranayama, while also delving into mantras. In 2023, Gabriela journeyed to Mysore, India, to deepen her yoga knowledge. Under the guidance of Dr. Srinatha and other mentors, she obtained her RYT-300 certification in Hatha and Ashtanga teaching. Gabriela’s classes reflect her passion for life, spirituality, and the dual challenges, both physical and mental, of yoga, fostering growth and connection inspired by her mentors and intuition.
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” - The Bhagavad Gita.
“Trust the messages coming from your heart and intuition.” - Ram Dass.
Taylor Logan
Taylor has a passion to teach Vinyasa, Yin and Meditation. She has also enjoyed learning more about somatic work, the nervous system, and ceremonies through her mentors Reanna Costa and Lauren Côté.
As an RMT, she works with the body on a daily basis and holds a deep understanding of our muscles and faschia and how its all connected. This has informed her yoga on the mat.
Over the last 10 years, yoga has been an important part in Taylor’s life as an avid student and way of living. Allowing her to find more peace within herself and to find more awareness on and off of the mat. In her spare time you can find her outside, close to the water or sharing quality time with loved ones.

What people are saying about Peter’s trainings:
They say that when the student is ready a teacher will appear. I was ready and the finest teachers appeared. Peter is Authentic, Smart, Humble, and it is clear that he loves what he does. Together, Cecily and Peter have created magic at One yoga north van. I am forever grateful for the example they set of what ‘living yoga’ looks like. From morning forest walks, meditation, mantra, chanting, asana, yoga history, green tea, sharing of lived experience and teachings directly from the Krishnamacharya lineage, philosophy, book clubs, gifts and surprise guests, juggling family life and active dialogue - we were provided with all of it during training. In the words of Peter’s beloved guru Ram Das “you’re just being love, radiating like the sun” . Thank you hOMe Yoga for shining on me this summer. I hope to be able to share your light with others I teach someday soon.
I can't imagine a better YTT experience than this summer's Living Yoga Intensive. To be able to carry forward the beat of hOMe yoga's heart with a small, intimate group in the embrace of the forest, mountains, and ocean was an amazing gift. We went deep - as Peter always say - On Purpose, With Purpose. And even had time with the Lion himself, Ryan Leier. The vibrations of this training are still humming in my heart. Deepest bows of gratitude to One Yoga North Van, Peter, and Cecily for a transformative experience.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
Your deposit
A $500 deposit holds your place in Soul on Fire. It counts toward your tuition, and it is non-refundable.
If you need to cancel before we begin
Tell us in writing at studio@aplaceto.land . The date we receive your email is the date that counts. Because tuition is due in full on March 1, 2027, what happens depends on whether you've paid yet:
When you cancel
What happens
Before March 1, 2027 (tuition not yet due)
You forfeit the $500 deposit and owe nothing further. Anything you've paid beyond the deposit, for example if you paid early or are on the payment plan, is refunded in full, and any scheduled payments are cancelled.
March 1, 2027 or later
No refund. Tuition is due in full on March 1.
Refunds go back to your original payment method within [10] business days.
Transferring instead
If life gets in the way, you can transfer your place once to the next Soul on Fire training [within 12 months], subject to space, as long as you tell us at least 14 days before March 12. Your deposit and payments carry over, and you'll pay the difference if tuition has changed. You can also pass your place to someone else with our approval, as long as you let us know at least 14 days ahead.
Once training has started
Tuition isn't refundable after the first session, including if you withdraw partway through. If you miss a session, you must be responsible for making it up. [Including paying the Private Class rate for any guest or faculty session] If you can't finish, you may be able to complete the remaining hours in a future training [one time, within 12 months].
Payment plans
Early bird registrations through January 12 can use the payment plan: your $500 deposit, then three payments of $932, $932 and $931 on January 15, February 1 and March 1. If you're on the payment plan, the rules above apply to what you've paid. When you cancel, any scheduled payments not yet due are cancelled. Payments already due are still owed. All tuition must be paid in full by March 1.
If something changes on our side
If we cancel or reschedule Soul on Fire, or can't offer you a place, you get a full refund, including your deposit, or you can transfer to the new dates.
Other situations
We're real people, and we know illness, family emergencies, and life happen. If something serious comes up, talk to us. We review each situation individually and may offer a credit, though we can't promise a refund outside the rules above. If someone is asked to leave the training for conduct that harms the group or its teachers, no refund is given.
Early bird pricing ends January 12. If you cancel and register again later, the tuition then in effect applies.
The terms above are part of your registration. All prices are in [CAD] [and exclude GST].

FAQ’s
No, you do not need to be advanced. You do need to have a passion for yoga and to have a personal practice. Flexible hamstrings are not an entry requirement. Curiosity is.
Do I need to be an advanced Yogi?
1
We highly encourage you to be at ALL sessions. You cannot miss more than 2 sessions in the training, and you need to make up those hours, including paying the guest instructor (if missed) their private rate to make it up.
What if I miss some hours?
2
We see you and it won’t be easy, but the best things aren’t. We have designed these hours to be able to be done with a job and family (of course you will need weekend support!)
Can I do this with a job and kids.
3
Are we staying overnight?
4
No, it’s not an actual overnight cabin summer camp. You will need to find your way to the studio for each session. Whether thats finding a place to stay in Chilliwack for the weekends you’re here or driving in the mornings.
